We come to your clinic and provide excellent care and in-depth procedures along with written post-operative instructions to help keep you, your patients, and your clients comfortable. You will be confident in knowing your patients are receiving the best available care.

Surgical ​Services

Ortho​pedic Surgery

Cranial cruicate ligament tears are a very common orthopedic disease in dogs. We perform Tibial Plateau Leveling osteotomies (TPLO), and extracapsular repairs (LFS). Other common orthopedic procedures include patella luxation correction, femoral head and neck excision arthroplasty (FHO or FHNE), osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) removal, fragmented medial coronoid process (FMCP or FCP) or ununited anconeal process (UAP) excision. We performed  juvenile pubic symphysiodesis (JPS) as an aid in preventing Hip dysplasia. We also perform many surgeries for traumatic injuries that lead to fractures or luxations. 


Soft Tissue Surgery


Gastrointestinal - exploratory  laparotomy, foreign body removal, full-thickness intestinal biopsies, mass removal

Hepatobiliary - cholecystectomy, liver biopsy or mass removal

Urinary - cystotomy, urinary bladder repair, nephrectomy

Lower urinary tract - perineal urethrostomy, scrotal urethrostomy, urethral trauma management

Airway - stenotic nares & soft palate correction, arytenoid lateralization

Thoracic - lung lobectomy or partial lobectomy, pericardectomy, diaphragmatic hernia or peritoneopericardial hernia repair

Oncologic - digit or limb amputation, mastectomy, mass excision, bone or lymph node biopsy, splenectomy, liver lobectomy

Perineal - anal sacculectomy, perineal hernia repair, rectal mass excision, vulvoplasty

Integument - complicated mass removal, skin and reconstruction, complicated wound management

Dr. McFadden has special interest in many types of exotics animals. His passion for exotics grew after training with Dr.​ Avery Bennett and Dr. Mark Mitchell in Illinois. He’s done orthopedic and soft tissue surgery on many different species, including: tigers, panthers, geese, primates, red tail hawks and a wallaby just to name a few.
